What is BMH Apps?
App hosting without servers to manage. Give it a Git repository, or pick a starter template or a ready-made app, and it builds, runs and serves it on HTTPS at a free *.apps.bookmyhost.com address. No Docker, SSH or Nginx to learn.
Is the Hobby plan really free?
Yes. One app on a shared, sandboxed pool, with SSL and a subdomain, for nothing. It sleeps when nobody visits and wakes on the next request in a few seconds. One Hobby server per verified account.
Why do I need eKYC for a free app?
Indian CERT-In rules require cloud providers to verify every customer, free or paid. It is a one-time check, and it keeps phishing and crypto-miners off the platform your app shares.
Which languages and frameworks work?
Anything a buildpack can detect: Node.js (Next.js, Vite, Express), Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask), PHP (Laravel), Go, Ruby, static HTML and more. Paid plans can also build from your own Dockerfile.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on paid plans. Add the domain in the panel, point a CNAME at the address it shows, and the certificate is issued and renewed automatically. Hobby apps use their *.apps.bookmyhost.com address.
How does one-click install work?
Choose an app from the store, pick the app server to put it on, and click Install. It gets its own HTTPS address, its passwords are generated for you and shown once, and it is live in a minute or two.
Do I get databases?
Paid plans include managed PostgreSQL and Redis on the app server's private network. Hobby apps can use SQLite on their own volume.
Can my app send email?
Outbound SMTP ports are closed on app hosting to stop spam. Send through an email API (Resend, Postmark, SES, Brevo and similar) over HTTPS instead.
Where does my app run?
On BookMyHost servers in our Noida datacentre, on our own network, behind Cloudflare Magic Transit DDoS protection. Paid plans get a private VM of their own; the data stays in India.
