A VM that runs the full month on hourly billing costs exactly the list price. Each hour is counted to a fraction of a paisa (or a cent in USD) and the usage for the month is rounded once, on the total, never hour by hour.

No. Every price on this site is shown before GST; 18% GST is added at checkout and on the invoice for Indian customers. A GSTIN on your account lets your business claim it back as input credit; customers outside India are invoiced from the USD price list as zero-rated exports.

Hourly servers are billed per started hour, with a minimum of 1 hour from the moment the server is built; past that you pay only for the hours the server actually ran, and the panel shows the amount before you confirm. Monthly and longer plans are billed for the term instead — cancel early and the unused part comes back as wallet credit.

No. BookMyHost does not sell physical dedicated servers. It sells dedicated VMs: KVM virtual machines whose vCPU and RAM are reserved for that one VM and never overcommitted, on NVMe storage, billed hourly or on a term. Customers who need their own IP subnet or a BGP session alongside their servers can ask for a quotation.

No. BookMyHost does not rent GPU servers or GPU instances. For AI it sells inference through its model-as-a-service API: an OpenAI-compatible endpoint at api.bookmyhost.com/v1 for open-weight language, image and speech models, billed per token in rupees. You pay for the tokens you use rather than for GPU hours that sit idle, which usually costs less than renting a GPU.

Choosing a monthly plan instead of hourly takes 30% off the list price for that VM. Quarterly, 6, 12, 24 and 36-month terms then take a further 5%, 10%, 20%, 30% or 50% off that monthly plan price.

On hourly billing, a stopped VM is billed for its NVMe disk only; the public IP costs nothing — for the smallest server that is ₹0.11 per hour powered off, against ₹0.92 per hour running (plus GST). The lower rate applies to every clock hour the VM is off for the whole hour. Plans on a term are prepaid, so stopping does not change the charge. With Reserve IP on, a stopped VM also pays ₹0.50 per hour to keep its IP.

Yes, as long as you use the server. The public IPv4 is free whether the VM is running or stopped, and power off, power on, reboot or resize all keep the same address. A VM left powered off for 3 days in a row on hourly billing gives its IP back to the pool: we warn you by email and WhatsApp after 2 days, and again before the release. Starting the server later gives it the same IP if that address is still free, otherwise a new one. To keep the IP however long the server is off, turn on Reserve IP on the server page: it costs ₹0.50 per hour while stopped and nothing while running. Monthly and longer plans keep their IP for the whole paid term. Deleting the VM releases the IP.

We work out how long your balance lasts at what your hourly servers cost right now, and email and WhatsApp you at about 3 days, 1 day and 6 hours left; the last notice goes at any hour. The panel shows the time left on the Billing page and a red strip on every page in the last day. You can also set your own amount under Billing ("Also warn me below"). Top up before the balance reaches zero to keep hourly servers running. When the balance reaches zero, hourly servers stop at once (their data is kept) and start again automatically within minutes of a top-up. Monthly and longer plans are prepaid and keep running.

Yes. Each VM has its dedicated Indian public IPv4 directly on its network interface — no NAT and no shared gateway — so outbound HTTPS and API requests originate from that address. That makes it suitable for broker, bank and payment APIs that whitelist a static IP. Check it from the VM with "curl -4 https://ifconfig.me", and our support team will confirm the source address from the network side on request.

Yes, for your own applications and server-to-server traffic: reverse proxies, API gateways, WireGuard/OpenVPN and similar secure tunnels are all fine, and outbound HTTPS is not restricted. What is not allowed is in our terms: open proxies for the public, spam, scanning or attacking other networks, spoofing source addresses, or reselling raw capacity without our written consent.

The welcome credit is added to your wallet once your eKYC is complete, and it pays for anything the wallet pays for — including hourly running time and the powered-off disk charge and Reserve IP — with no minimum deposit needed first. You get the unused part back. Cancel before the period ends and we credit the remainder to your wallet in full, prorated to the second, with a GST credit note against the invoice that paid for it. The panel shows the exact amount before you confirm. The credit is wallet credit — spendable on anything here, not paid back to a card or bank. Hourly servers are metered per hour, so stopping one just stops the charge and there is nothing left to return.

Yes, and vCPU, RAM and disk can each be changed on their own. The rest of the paid term is settled at once, pro rata at the same discount: an upgrade is charged from your wallet (if the wallet is short it waits up to 72 hours and applies by itself after a top-up), a downgrade is credited to your wallet. Disks can grow but never shrink. The server restarts once.

Any time. Converting an hourly VM to a monthly or longer plan keeps the VM, its IP and its disk — only the billing changes from the next hour.

The VM renews on the same term at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. We email a reminder 14 days ahead.

Listed plan prices follow the rate card: when the price of a vCPU, a GB of RAM, a GB of NVMe or an IPv4 changes, every plan built from them moves with it. A server you already run keeps its current price until its next renewal (for hourly servers, until the start of the next calendar month) and renews at the new price after that; we email you the old and new price before it changes.

Yes. Your first order carries a money-back guarantee: ask within the guarantee window and the full amount of that order goes back to the original payment method, with no gateway fee deducted.
