Why the datacentre location matters inside NCR
For users in the National Capital Region, a server in Noida is one hop away. Typical round trips from the Noida datacentre are 1–3 ms to Delhi, <1 ms within Noida, 2–4 ms to Gurugram, 1–3 ms to Ghaziabad and 2–4 ms to Faridabad, so an ERP, a trading desk or an office application feels like it is on the local network.
The rest of India is close too. Jaipur and Lucknow are about ~10 ms away, Mumbai ~25 ms, Kolkata ~25 ms, Hyderabad ~30 ms, Bengaluru ~35 ms and Chennai ~40 ms, because the network peers at Extreme IX and carries Airtel and NTT transit, so traffic to Indian ISPs stays domestic. The figures are typical values measured from our Noida routers; the locations page lists every city.
What to check about a Delhi NCR datacentre before you buy
A city name on a plan page says little about what is behind it. Ask these questions of any provider, and compare the answers:
- Who runs the network: a provider with its own autonomous system controls routing and peering; a reseller depends on someone else. BookMyHost runs AS152523, peered at Extreme IX with Airtel and NTT transit.
- DDoS handling: whether attack traffic is scrubbed or the IP is null-routed until the attack stops. Here every server sits behind Cloudflare Magic Transit at no extra cost; see DDoS protection.
- The hardware: KVM on Apache CloudStack, AMD EPYC processors, ECC RAM and NVMe storage, with reserved rather than oversold RAM. The technology page describes the stack.
- What is in the price: a public IPv4 address, a 1 Gbps port and a snapshot are included in every plan here; elsewhere they can be add-ons.
- Data residency: the servers, the company and the network are Indian, so data stays in India under Indian law. See India cloud and data sovereignty.
- Billing: rupee prices with a GST tax invoice that carries your GSTIN, payable by UPI, card or net-banking. Prices are shown before GST.
- Reachability: a Noida office, phone, WhatsApp and tickets, so there is a human in the same time zone. See contact.
Who uses VPS hosting in Delhi NCR
Delhi's government portals, SaaS back-ends and media sites see LAN-like latency to Noida. Gurugram's fintech firms, trading desks and payment gateways in Cyber City run practically on-premises. Noida's own IT parks reach their servers in well under a millisecond, manufacturing and logistics firms in Ghaziabad get the same near-zero latency, and the Faridabad industrial belt runs ERPs, Tally on Cloud and factory dashboards here.
Traders in NCR also use the Noida region for forex VPS and algo trading, where Mumbai brokers are ~25 ms away.
Linux or Windows, a plan or a custom size
Images cover Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky, CentOS Stream and Windows Server 2022, plus stack images for WordPress, LAMP/LEMP, Docker, cPanel/WHM and Plesk. Choose a plan on the VPS page or build an exact vCPU, RAM and NVMe mix on the server builder. Either way the server can be billed hourly, with a 1 hour minimum, or on a monthly to 36-month term at a discount.
Deploying a cloud server in the Noida datacentre
- Create an account and complete eKYC
Verify once with Aadhaar/DigiLocker or an ID document, as CERT-In requires of Indian hosting providers.
- Choose the Noida region
Noida (Delhi NCR) is the live region today, with every plan and image available.
- Pick size, image and term
A plan or a custom size, Linux or Windows, hourly or a term.
- Pay and deploy
Pay by UPI, card, net-banking or wallet. The server is usually live under a minute later, with its IP and login in the panel and a GST tax invoice issued automatically.
- Secure it
Take the included snapshot, update the operating system and close the ports you do not use.
Mumbai and Chennai regions
Noida is the live region; Mumbai and Chennai are coming at the same rate card. A snapshot moves a server between regions, so a server deployed in Noida today can move later without being rebuilt.
