TallyPrime is the accounting and GST software most Indian businesses already use. BMH Apps runs it on a Linux app server under Wine and shows the TallyPrime desktop in your browser, so there is no Windows licence to buy and no RDP client to install. You bring your own TallyPrime licence.

What happens
Install starts a browser desktop protected by a username and a password shown once in the panel. The first start downloads the official TallyPrime installer from Tally Solutions and opens it on the desktop; click Install and TallyPrime appears. Activate your own serial inside TallyPrime; until then it runs in Educational mode. Company data stays on the app server and survives restarts and updates.

TallyPrime hosting questions
Is a Tally licence included?
No. TallyPrime is a product of Tally Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and BookMyHost is not affiliated with them. Buy or move your Silver or Gold licence as usual and activate it inside TallyPrime; without a licence it runs in Educational mode.
How many users can work in it?
One desktop session per app. For several accountants, install one app per person; Tally.NET and ODBC (port 9000) are not exposed between apps.
How do I back up my data?
Use the file panel of the browser desktop to download your Tally data folder, or take a backup from inside TallyPrime to that folder and download it. The data also stays on the app volume across redeploys.
Why Pro?
Wine, the desktop session and TallyPrime together need about 2 GB of memory, which the Starter plan does not have.
Does printing work?
Print to PDF from TallyPrime and download the file from the browser desktop; direct printing to an office printer is not available.
