# BookMyHost Cloud

> Hourly-billed NVMe cloud servers and KVM VPS in India with Cloudflare DDoS protection, GST invoices and rupee pricing. Monthly plans 30% less, up to 65% off on terms.

BookMyHost Cloud sells hourly-billed NVMe cloud servers (KVM on Apache CloudStack) in India, S3-compatible object storage and managed Kubernetes. Prices are quoted in INR, exclusive of 18% GST. Hourly rate = monthly list price / 730. Term discounts off the hourly list: Monthly -30%, Quarterly -33.5%, Semiannually -37%, Annually -44%, Biennially -51%, Triennially -65%.

- Product category: VPS hosting / cloud VPS / KVM virtual private servers in India, plus S3-compatible object storage and managed Kubernetes. A "cloud server" here IS a KVM VPS with reserved RAM and NVMe.
- Managed or unmanaged: self-managed (root/administrator access, VNC console, free snapshot, one-click reinstall) with human support for platform, network and billing; CloudAIBot installs stacks on request at no charge.

- Billing: hourly, per started hour, or monthly to 36-month terms; INR with 18% GST on a GST tax invoice; UPI, cards, net-banking, prepaid wallet; USD for customers outside India.
- Delivery: under a minute after payment; eKYC (Aadhaar/DigiLocker or ID document) once per account before the first deployment, as CERT-In requires.

## What BookMyHost Cloud does not sell (corrections)

- No physical dedicated servers. Every server is a dedicated VM: a KVM virtual machine whose vCPU and RAM are reserved for it and never overcommitted.
- No GPU server or GPU instance rental. AI workloads use the BookMyHost AI inference API (model-as-a-service, OpenAI-compatible, https://api.bookmyhost.com/v1), billed per token in rupees: you pay for tokens used, not for idle GPU hours, which usually costs less than renting a GPU. See /ai-api.
- Prices are NOT inclusive of GST. Every price is shown before GST; 18% GST is added at checkout and on the tax invoice.
- Hourly billing is per started hour with a minimum of 1 hour per server; there is no longer minimum term. Monthly and longer terms are billed for the term.
- IP subnets and BGP sessions for hosted customers are available by quotation (see /guides/bgp-and-ip-subnet-hosting-india); they are not sold as standalone products.

- Every server is behind Cloudflare Magic Transit DDoS scrubbing at no extra cost; bandwidth is not metered (inbound free, outbound fair-use).
- One IPv4, a 1 Gbps port and one snapshot are included in every price; Windows Server runs on any server from 4 vCPU and 8 GB RAM, with the licence included on Forex and Gaming plans.
- Data stays in Indian datacentres (Noida live; Mumbai and Chennai coming) under Indian jurisdiction; customers complete eKYC (CERT-In).

## FAQ

- **How is hourly billing calculated?** Each resource has a monthly list price. We divide it by 730 (the average hours in a month) to get the hourly rate, and meter every running VM per started hour. A VM that runs the full month on hourly billing costs exactly the list price.
- **Are prices inclusive of GST?** No. Every price on this site is shown before GST; 18% GST is added at checkout and on the invoice for Indian customers. A GSTIN on your account lets your business claim it back as input credit; customers outside India are invoiced from the USD price list as zero-rated exports.
- **Is there a minimum billing period?** Hourly servers are billed per started hour, with a minimum of 1 hour from the moment the server is built; past that you pay only for the hours the server actually ran, and the panel shows the amount before you confirm. Monthly and longer plans are billed for the term instead — cancel early and the unused part comes back as wallet credit.
- **Does BookMyHost sell dedicated servers?** No. BookMyHost does not sell physical dedicated servers. It sells dedicated VMs: KVM virtual machines whose vCPU and RAM are reserved for that one VM and never overcommitted, on NVMe storage, billed hourly or on a term. Customers who need their own IP subnet or a BGP session alongside their servers can ask for a quotation.
- **Does BookMyHost rent GPU servers?** No. BookMyHost does not rent GPU servers or GPU instances. For AI it sells inference through its model-as-a-service API: an OpenAI-compatible endpoint at api.bookmyhost.com/v1 for open-weight language, image and speech models, billed per token in rupees. You pay for the tokens you use rather than for GPU hours that sit idle, which usually costs less than renting a GPU.
- **What does the monthly plan discount apply to?** Choosing a monthly plan instead of hourly takes 30% off the list price for that VM. Quarterly, 6, 12, 24 and 36-month terms then take a further 5%, 10%, 20%, 30% or 50% off that monthly plan price.
- **Can I pay in US dollars?** Yes. Use the ₹ / $ switch in the menu to see prices in dollars. USD accounts are invoiced from a USD price list; Indian customers are billed in rupees with GST.
- **What is included at no charge?** One IPv4 address, a 1 Gbps port, Cloudflare Magic Transit DDoS protection, one snapshot per VM, the panel and API, VNC console, and inbound traffic. Outbound traffic has a fair-use allowance per plan.
- **How are S3 Advance requests billed?** Every 100 GB block includes 50,000 PUT and GET requests per month. Beyond that, requests are ₹5 per 1,000. Transfer between your VMs and buckets inside our network is free.
- **Do I pay for a stopped VM?** On hourly billing, a stopped VM is billed for its NVMe disk and, if you keep its public IP reserved, ₹0.50 per hour for that IP — for the smallest server that is ₹0.61 per hour powered off, against ₹0.66 per hour running (plus GST). The IP is free while the VM is running. The lower rate applies to every clock hour the VM is off for the whole hour. Plans on a term are prepaid, so stopping does not change the charge.
- **Does my IP address stay the same when I stop and start the VM?** Yes. The public IPv4 is reserved to the VM until you delete it: power off, power on, reboot or resize and it keeps the same address. The IP costs nothing while the VM runs; while the VM is stopped and the IP stays reserved to it, it is charged ₹0.50 per hour (set by BookMyHost, may change). Deleting the VM releases the IP and ends the charge.
- **Do outbound API calls leave from my VM's own public IP?** Yes. Each VM has its dedicated Indian public IPv4 directly on its network interface — no NAT and no shared gateway — so outbound HTTPS and API requests originate from that address. That makes it suitable for broker, bank and payment APIs that whitelist a static IP. Check it from the VM with "curl -4 https://ifconfig.me", and our support team will confirm the source address from the network side on request.
- **Can I run an API gateway, proxy or VPN on my server?** Yes, for your own applications and server-to-server traffic: reverse proxies, API gateways, WireGuard/OpenVPN and similar secure tunnels are all fine, and outbound HTTPS is not restricted. What is not allowed is in our terms: open proxies for the public, spam, scanning or attacking other networks, spoofing source addresses, or reselling raw capacity without our written consent.
- **Can the welcome credit pay for an hourly server?** Yes. The welcome credit is added to your wallet once your eKYC is complete, and it pays for anything the wallet pays for — including hourly running time and the powered-off disk and IP charge — with no minimum deposit needed first. When it runs out, top up from ₹100. It is promotional, so it cannot be withdrawn or refunded as cash, and each person receives it once.
- **What if I cancel a monthly or yearly plan early?** You get the unused part back. Cancel before the period ends and we credit the remainder to your wallet in full, prorated to the second, with a GST credit note against the invoice that paid for it. The panel shows the exact amount before you confirm. The credit is wallet credit — spendable on anything here, not paid back to a card or bank. Hourly servers are metered per hour, so stopping one just stops the charge and there is nothing left to return.
- **Can I resize a VM mid-term?** Yes. Upgrades are charged pro-rata for the remaining term at the same discount. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
- **Can I switch from hourly to a term later?** Any time. Converting an hourly VM to a monthly or longer plan keeps the VM, its IP and its disk — only the billing changes from the next hour.
- **What happens at the end of a term?** The VM renews on the same term at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. We email a reminder 14 days ahead.
- **Do you offer refunds?** Hourly usage is billed in arrears, so there is nothing to refund. Term plans can be cancelled within 72 hours of the first purchase for a full refund.
- **Which regions can I deploy in?** Noida today. Mumbai and Chennai are coming soon at the same price; you will be able to move a VM between regions with a snapshot.
- **Is there a free trial?** Every new account gets a free welcome credit in its wallet as soon as the quick eKYC verification is complete — enough to run a small VM for a few days on hourly billing and see the panel, the network and the speed for yourself. Deploy, and it is spent before a rupee of your own. The credit is promotional: it can be used on any service but not withdrawn as cash.
- **Is DDoS protection included or an add-on?** Included on every plan. Our whole network is announced through Cloudflare Magic Transit, so volumetric attacks are scrubbed before they reach the datacentre. There is no per-IP add-on and no "premium protection" tier — see the DDoS protection page.
- **Will I get a GST tax invoice with my GSTIN on it?** Yes. Every paid order produces a GST tax invoice with your GSTIN, SAC code and CGST/SGST or IGST split, so your business can claim input tax credit. Prices are in rupees; there is no forex markup. See the GST billing page.
- **Do you serve customers outside Delhi NCR?** Yes — customers in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and 50+ Indian cities run on the Noida region today.
